I can smell........spring!

So spring is Definitely in the air! There will be two new Shoff babies ( 1 niece and 1 nephew) born this year! We also added McCall Miles to the Shoff family on the 18th of March! SO fun! Weddings and babies..., sounds like spring huh??? But before all of that wonderful stuff happened or happens, I wanted to update our winter fun!

Right after Christmas, we enjoyed lots of food, fun, and family~ We went sledding and enjoyed being very cold, for a very short amount of time. Brady got way too cold and ended up chillin in the car watching a movie most the time!








Then of course, we went on our annual Disneyland trip where we spent 4 magical days at California adventure and Disney! We met up with some good friends, the Jeppsons and the Browns, my cousin and her family, and my SIL and her kiddos. It was so much fun! We went everyday from start to finish and I actually went and upgraded to annual passes. Yes, I love it that much!











Zachary has lost is two front teeth and it's been so cute watching him grow up! He played basketball and loved it and I have to say, Jake and I actually got a little excited watching him play! He was aggressive and ran the whole time! Made lots of shots and played great defense! We look forward to his future, and his DADDY will be coaching him in the future!




All in all, we have had a pretty good winter! Yes, I had my depressive days, negativity and flat out anger, but hey!, this winter wasn't so bad!
PS! I passed college algebra and statistics! Yeah for me!!!!!

NeW yOrK/ D.C. trip!

SO ~ I should be telling you all about Christmas, but instead I am going to tell you all about our trip to D.C. and New York! We flew two days after Thanksgiving into D.C., where my close friend Jen's parents treated us to a Redskins game.! As some of you know, that has been a dream of Jake's for a long time, so he was in heaven to be at Fed Ex field that day (and yes, we sinned, it was a Sunday!)



Then the next day, we took the metro to downtown D.C. Jake had never been there, and I lived there for a year when I was 20-21. Aside from Kauai, it's my FAVORITE place! I love that city. It is so patriotic and beautiful! I have so many awesome memories from living there. The church is SO strong there as well, which makes it that much better. The National Gallery of Art is my favorite Smithsonian. Just go there and you will see why........

Washington Monument

Yes, to many of you that's the "Forest Gump" pond, where he runs to Jenny! It's called the reflection pond. :)

Vietnam Soldiers memorial

Vietnam Wall Monument. It's an amazing sight to see all the names. It goes on forever!

Abraham Lincoln. Yes, I have read all the walls. :)


Korean War Memorial. We also went to the National Gallery of Art, American History Museum, Natural History Museum, and the National Archives Building(where the constitution is). It was all heavenly!




New York! Radio City, Times Square, and the unlit Rockefeller tree



The highlight for me was seeing "WICKED"! It was amazing! I have a couple versions of defying gravity on the blog! :)



My parents and I in "Little Italy" at a yummy restaurant. The Italian men were very touchy. Haha! Then we met Jake at the Empire State building. It was way cool! Then we went to Rockefeller center again, St. Patrick's cathedral and F.A.O Schwartz. Amazing!




The New York skyline. To the left was the Twin Towers. You can kinda see the crane where they are being rebuilt. Then off to Lady Liberty and Ellis Island. Much smaller in person.




Two ABSOLUTE musts are Central Park and Ray's pizza. We went to Ray's twice in 4 days. Jake and I have decided that Utah has NO idea how to make good pizza. Rays= YUM! Doesn't it just look perfect?????
SO we had a blast with my parents. IT was a great UNrelaxing trip. We did a heck of a lot in 6 days. It was good to see "my" city and to experience the Big Apple! We will definitely will be going again. But not anytime soon. Unless someone surprises me with "WICKED" tickets again! :) tee-hee.
